Can you still lift
what you could at 30?

Forge Athletics is a coached strength gym for busy adults who are out of practice. Six weeks, three 45-minute sessions a week, groups capped at six. You test on day one, you retest in week six, and you see the difference on paper.

Why people come to us

You didn't quit the gym.
The gym just never told you if it was working.

Most people who walk in here have already tried. A membership used twice in January. A class that left them sore for three days but no stronger by March. Nothing was wrong with the effort. There was just nobody watching, and no number to point at.

Nobody watching the bar

In a room of forty, a coach can't see your back round on rep eight. In a group of six, that's the whole job.

No baseline, no proof

If you never measured week one, week six is a feeling. Feelings are why people quit in February.

Written for a body you don't have

A program off the internet doesn't know about the shoulder. Ours gets written after we look at yours.

The Forge Method

Assess. Build. Prove.

Three phases across six weeks. The last one is the reason people stay.

01

Week 1

Assess — five numbers, written down

A movement screen and five baseline lifts: squat, hinge, press, row, carry. We write them in your file where you can see them. Nothing gets programmed until we know how you actually move and what hurts.

02

Weeks 2–5

Build — your program, a coach on the floor

Three 45-minute sessions a week against a written progression that belongs to you. Up to six people train at once and each is running their own sheet. The coach is watching the bar, not the clock.

03

Week 6

Prove — the retest

The same five lifts, the same standards, measured the same way. Your coach turns the sheet round and shows you both columns. That is the entire point of the six weeks.

A real week-six sheet

What the retest actually looks like

Dan started at 38 after nine years away from a barbell. Both columns are his, measured six weeks apart.

Five questions, then pick a time

This tells your coach what to set up before you arrive, which is why the first session is a real session and not a sales tour. It takes about a minute.

Question 1 of 5

What would make the next six weeks feel worth it?

Members

People who were out of practice too

Deadlift 60 → 90kg

“I hadn't deadlifted since university and honestly I was embarrassed on day one. Week six I pulled 90 kilos and the coach just turned the sheet round and showed me the two numbers. That was the moment.”

Dan R.

38 · two kids · back after 9 years off

Squat 25 → 45kg

“Six people and a coach who knows my knee. I've paid more for a gym where nobody learned my name in a year.”

Priya S.

44 · joined after a class programme left her sore but not stronger

Press 20 → 32.5kg

“45 minutes, three mornings a week, done before the school run. The retest was the first time I've had proof a gym worked instead of just hoping.”

Marcus T.

51 · lapsed member of three previous gyms

Risk reversal

Make 15 of your 18 sessions. If week six doesn't beat week one, the next six weeks are free.

No forms and no argument. You did your part, so we keep coaching until the numbers move.

The things people ask

What does the free Strength Session actually involve?+

Twenty minutes with a coach. A short movement screen, your five baseline numbers if you're up for it, and a straight conversation about what six weeks would look like for you. You leave with your numbers whether you join or not.

What does it cost after that?+

The 6-Week Strong Start is $197 for all 18 coached sessions. If you carry on after week six it's $179 a month, month to month, cancel whenever. There is no joining fee and no contract to sign.

I'm properly out of shape. Is this going to be too much?+

Most people who start here haven't trained in years. That's the normal case, not the exception. Groups are capped at six precisely so the coach can give you a different weight, a different range or a different exercise on the spot.

How does the Retest Guarantee work?+

Make 15 of your 18 sessions. If your week-six retest doesn't beat your week-one numbers, your next six weeks are free. No forms and no argument. You did your part, so we keep coaching until the numbers move.

Is this a class?+

No. Up to six people train in the same room at the same time, but each person is running their own written program with a coach on the floor watching the bar.

What if I can only make it twice a week?+

Say so on the call. Twice a week still works for plenty of people, it just means the guarantee's 15-session requirement doesn't apply to you. We'd rather be straight about that up front than sell you something you can't use.

Why only 12 spots?+

Groups are capped at six and coaches only have so many hours on the floor. When the intake fills, the next one starts a few weeks later.

Start with the number you have today

Twenty minutes, a coach, and five baseline lifts. You walk out with your numbers written down whether you join or not.
